The best things in life are the people you meet, the places you’ve been and the memories you’ve made along the way…. so make yours a trip to remember at Ty Gwyn, the Big House by the sea!
Ty Gwyn – which sleeps up to 30 - overlooks Llwyngwril (pronounced hlwin-goo-ril), a beautiful coastal village situated on the stunning coast of north-west Wales just south of Barmouth. It’s perfect for big family parties, special occasions and retreats.
If you’re an adrenaline junkie then Ty Gwyn is the place for you, with water sports, mountain biking trails and the fastest zip line in the world all on your doorstep. If you’re looking for peace and tranquillity then there are beautiful walks by the beach, and in the nearby mountains and forests of the Snowdonia National Park.
Does even that sounds like too much effort? If so Ty Gwyn has its own sauna, hot tub and cinema. We recommend you enjoy a lovely meal together, toast marshmallows on the large open-air fire pit, and let the real world just float away as you watch the amazing sunset.
Finding something fun and exciting to do is never far away when you visit Ty Gwyn.
Relax by the large open-air fire pit and toast those marshmallows with a beautiful sunset as your backdrop.
Soak in the log-fired hot tub or steam in the eco-friendly sauna overlooking the bay and the infinity decking.
Raining outside? Relax in the 13-seater cinema or shoot a few rounds of pool in the games room.
Still too energetic? Put your feet up in front of the log burner and kick back with your friends as the stress and strains of the real world just float away!
“Brilliant, wonderful, everything we needed and more!”

Opportunities abound to relax and engage. Put your feet up in the airy and spacious lounge while watching the flames in the log burner. Sink into a bean bag and pop your favourite shows on the 56-inch television.
Pull up a stool and put the world to rights over a few drinks at the fully equipped bar - or host your own cocktail party (dressing up optional!) G&T m’lady?
For those quieter moments, take five and read a book or play a game in the light and airy conservatory with its lovingly restored arched windows.
“An amazing place - perfect for groups”

Imagine… table set, music playing through the Sonos sound system, pre-drinks underway in the adjoining bar and delicious aromas wafting through from the kitchen. And so your evening begins.
If you love cooking, relish the experience in the fully refitted stainless steel kitchen. All mod cons included (there are two of everything!).
Alternatively, take the night off and call in outside catering who can provide everything from a buffet to a hog roast (see Key Facts for details). For your first evening we can recommend some local takeaways that will deliver to Ty Gwyn while you settle in.
Long summer days mean that eating alfresco will be in high demand… don’t worry, there’s a 6m barbecue area just waiting to be enjoyed!
The most experienced chefs (and their assistants!) can even oversee from the comfort of the hot tub!
